Voting is now CLOSED for SUNYCAP Election 2017.

Winners were announced at the annual business meeting on June 16, 2017. Results are available here.

The SUNYCAP Executive Board is the governing body of our professional organization. The board meets approximately four times a year, and is involved in a number of activities including, but not limited to, planning the SUNY Admissions Orientation and the Annual SUNYCAP Conference.

This year there were seven (7) Executive Board positions open:

1. President-Elect: The President-Elect will spend one year in preparation to become President for the following year. This position will significantly reduce a new President’s transition period. They will also participate in the planning and coordination of the Annual Spring Conference.   Term of office - 1 year.

2. Secretary: The Secretary conducts all official correspondence pertaining to the organization. They shall notify members of all meetings. They shall keep and distribute the minutes of meetings to all members and shall have custody of all books and papers. They are responsible for all aspects of membership including soliciting new members, membership renewals, and maintaining an up-to-date roster of members.  Term of office - 2 years.

3. University Center Representative: Member at large - represents the views of their respective constituent groups, encourages active participation of members and membership from non-members. Representative also takes an active role in SUNYCAP committees and special projects as assigned.  Term of office - 2 years.

4. University College Representative: Member at large - represents the views of their respective constituent groups, encourages active participation of members and membership from non-members. Representative also takes an active role in SUNYCAP committees and special projects as assigned.  Term of office - 2 years.

5. Community College Representative: Member at large - represents the views of their respective constituent groups, encourages active participation of members and membership from non-members. Representative also takes an active role in SUNYCAP committees and special projects as assigned. Term of office - 2 years.

6. College of Technology Representative: Member at large - represents the views of their respective constituent groups, encourages active participation of members and membership from non-members. Representative also takes an active role in SUNYCAP committees and special projects as assigned. Term of office - 2 years.

7. Special Mission Representative: Member at large - The Special Mission Representative will be an admissions professional involved in the recruitment of special populations. Some examples include, but are not limited to: EOC, EOP, Graduate, International, Adult Learners, Athletic, Transfer, Special Talent, Multicultural and Honors.  Term of office - 2 years.
