HELLO SUNYCAP!  As I'm writing this, I'm watching Governor Cuomo present his statewide budget proposal, and as we turn the calendar to 2013, SUNYCAP is ready to get rolling on a great year.

First and foremost, have you saved the date for our 2013 Annual Meeting & Conference?  It will be held from June 12-14 at the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa in Rochester.  This is our first time at the Woodcliff, and we're excited for the change.  I'm thrilled to be heading up the Workshop Committee this year, so if there's something you'd like to present -- or something you'd like to learn more about -- please let me know!

In addition, The SUNYCAP Leadership Institute is hosting a mini-conference of sorts this spring at Onondaga Community College; see information about that elsewhere in this newsletter.

One of the great things about working for a statewide university system is that we have a wealth of resources available to us, some of which we probably didn't even know we had.  This fall, the presidents of nine SUNY-wide organizations met (electronically, anyway) and started discussing plans on how we could all work together more effectively.  I thank Amy Kremenek (SUNYCUAD), Ann Topping (CCCSAO), Chuck Simpson (CUCAP), Karen Taylor (SUNYFAP), Marcia Barber (SUHRA), Melissa Fallon (SUNYCCD), Natalie Spooner (SUNYRA), and Toby White (SUNYCDO) for helping me start what hopefully will be an important initiative that will help us all develop more "systemness."

I wish you all the best this spring as you begin one semester and plan for the fall.  If there's something SUNYCAP can do for you, as always, please let me know:
