Awards Committee
Committee Chair: Brian Wallenhorst, Morrisville

The Awards Committee is tasked with recognizing excellence and expertise among Admissions colleagues who are engaged in any form of admissions, education, service, and/or practice. Committee objectives include: Solicit nominations for award recognition based on the various categories. Review and revise current award classifications for the purpose of improving and easing the nominations process in the future. Encourage nominations for the various awards from among their peers. Keep a historical record of all award recipients.

Conference Committee
Committee Chair: Meredith Chapman, North Country Community

The SUNYCAP Annual Conference typically takes place the second or third week of June. The Conference Planning Committee is formed at the conclusion of the Annual Conference with the newly elected President‐Elect taking an active role in the planning of this event. Areas of responsibilities include: facilities (hotel) coordinator, marketing/promotion, conference program/printing coordinator, vendors/conference sponsorship, speakers, workshops, technology, fundraising initiative and hospitality/entertainment. It is the President‐Elect’s prerogative to organize the conference planning committee any way he/she sees fit (Chair, Co‐Chair or Tri‐Chair model).

Endeavors
Committee Chairs: Riley Zenoski, Finger Lakes Community & Lauren Polak, ESF

Endeavors is the newsletter for SUNYCAP members and is to be distributed four times annually: in April, August, December and a “Special Conference Edition” in late May to coincide with the Election Ballot. Endeavors is intended to serve as the hub for sharing information between members; and to keep SUNYCAP admissions professionals in touch with relevant issues, peoples and actions shaping the Admissions profession. Endeavors is to include membership information, Executive Committee Directory, updates from SUNYCAP President, interviews, resources and special features.

Grants & Scholarships
Committee Chair: Clare Burth, Herkimer Community

The Grants & Scholarships committee is charged with selecting candidates who will receive professional development grants and scholarship money to attend various conferences across the state and nation. It is the committee’s responsibility to see that all paid SUNYCAP members are aware of the awards, fairly decide who gets the award and then to see that payback (referred to as give‐back) is received within one year of receiving the grant

Diversity Committee

The Diversity Committee is tasked with various aspects of diversity related issues both within SUNY and within SUNYCAP.

SUNY Admissions Orientation Committee
Committee Chair: Theresa Figuerado, Binghamton

The committee is charged with organizing and executing the annual professional development opportunity for new admissions professionals to the SUNY system.

Nominations & Election Committee
Committee Chairs: Danielle Armentano, Brockport & Aaron Marshall, Fredonia

The Nominations and Election Committee solicits nominations and conducts the electoral process that elects members to the SUNYCAP Executive Committee.  The Committee conducts an impartial and unbiased electoral process; facilitates the growth of SUNYCAP by encouraging members to become more actively involved; fosters diversity by involving the membership in nominating and electing qualified individuals to the various positions on the Executive Committee.

Technology Committee

The Technology Committee is tasked with all aspects of technology within SUNYCAP, including, but not limited to: the website, web maintenance, server issues, etc.
